They say pictures speak a thousand words,
but how about the very thing that deciphered them?
Eyes?
You squint your eyes to focus on things you cannot see or get clear of.
You rub your eyes when you're tired.
You glare your eyes when you're angry, annoyed or frustrated.
Your eyes certainly glimmer at the sight of beauty and love.
You cry when you are sad.
What if you see someone giving you a smile but their eyes are... distant, cold or disorientated?
Can you tell if someone is hypocritical?
Can you trust your instincts?
The fact is that, people have a choice.
You know deep down you have a feeling that he/she is hiding something.
Yet, some of us prefer to trust someone more than their own instincts.
You see someone staring into blank space.
Is he/she really in that one second of "blank space"
Or is he/she really thinking of something even deeper?
Sometimes, you know it's more than just a stare.
Have you ever felt once when you gaze into someone's eyes,
you can really tell what they're thinking?
Or at least, vaguely?
However, instincts can turn into mere imagination, especially if a person is paranoid.
The fact is that the brain can turn paranoia to look like it is real, thus various mental illnesses.
A sane person balances instincts with trust and observations from his surroundings.
He then acts accordingly.
My question is: Can you tell if someone truly loves you?
Do you trust him when he says, "I love you,"
Or do you look in his eyes and see if they really mean it.
Anyone can say those words, but do they mean what they say.
Like Anna Faris from the movie The House Bunny quoted,
"The eyes are the nipple of the face."
When a person is not aroused, the nipples stay unerected; dead.
When a person is aroused thereafter nipples becomes "alive", erected and responsive.
(Don't mind the vulgar descriptions :P)
I suppose the eyes are like that too.
Human Beings are the most intelligent beings around.
If we can build huge sky-scrappers, create technology, create communication,
surely we can tell a little prediction.
Then again in these times,
we are able to predict Earth's weather forecast,
more complex than a Human's feeling.
Or is it?
